MAID/Squid Games: I was looking for a job and then I found a job

For several weeks I’ve been more heavily than the usual chronically exhausted.

I’ve had probably 20 nights of full sleep in 3 years, and that number might be high. I’m up a minimum of 4 times per night just tending to my toddler usually, but the last six months specifically have been plagued by gastritis.

I had managed to get my gastritis under control for the most part, but last week my son was home sick from daycare for two days from a stomach bug and by the weekend I caught it.

So I spent 2 full days running to and from the bathroom, much of that time with a toddler chasing me to sit on my lap while I was on the toilet.

Today I’m supposed to be training on some specifics-heavy material in the form of a couple hundred pages of text and bulleted educational reference lists with accompanying screens. On a deadline, I need to pass several certification exams based on the material in order to continue to work.

The certification reading material today… I can’t do it.

I’d be wasting my time and I won’t retain any of the information.

Should I keep going on this thought that there are other people out there who are strong minded and their will power and determination pushes them through…
